entourage setup

I'm trying to set up entourage 2004 to work with sympatico. I can get outgoing mail to work, but not incomming. The problem (as far as I can tell) is that whenever I check the box to override the default port and use port 995, that box unchecks itself when i close the account setup window. Is this a known bug, and how can I get it so that it won't uncheck itself.
