Hi,

I just looked at MacTracker and at LowEndMac and the first suggested a PC133 for the memory, while the second suggest PC100.

I tried a PC100 and a PC133 simultaneously (for a total of 1 Go) and the eMac recognized the full gig.

So what's the real memory requirement for the eMac?

Thanks

Doesn't matter. The recommended RAM type is PC-133, but the system bus for the first-generation eMacs was 100 MHz, so PC-133 RAM would just clock back in any case, and PC-100 would run as is (700-800 MHz models with nVidia graphics). Only the eMac with the ATI graphics card (and all eMacs thereafter) requires PC-133 RAM as it sports a 133 MHz FSB. As well, the 1.25/1.42 GHz model eMacs switched to DDR PC-2700 SDRAM and dropped the whole old-aged SDRAM memory type.
