ehMac Payment Confusion - What's Going On?

What was the Explanation (I Also Received Two PayPal Emails $Vary)
On Oct 27 PayPal showed me $26.50 for the renewal and details of the exchange rate etc. I understood the PayPal exchange that showed up as $28.26 or something close to that and I authorized that transaction to renew my sponsoring membership with ehMac. I then received an email from paypal. It acknowledges the $26.50 CAD transaction that I authorized.
On Oct 28 I receive another email from PayPal that appears to acknowledge receipt of $36.60 CAD. This appears to reflect an additional transaction which I did not authorize. There is a Subscription Number that is stated differently on each email.
I can easily assume that the paperwork is complex because of PayPal and therefore the actual transaction appears different from the transaction I apparently authorized, however I have conflict with that idea.
Can someone share with me their experience with this and the explanation that PayPal gave for the two different amounts.?

Update: Credit Card Has Two Pending Charges
A follow up with the credit card company shows there are two charges pending with regards to the transaction with PayPal. One charge is pending for the Oct 27 charge of $28... and another charge is pending for Oct 28, a charge of $38....

I had the same thing happen and actually sent a PM to ehMax yesterday. Got an email from ehMac.ca to renew and got a receipt for 26.50, a few days later got another receipt for 36.50 and I figured they'd just done a change to the correct amount and ignored it. I'm sure it will get sorted out soon, but those different amounts are sure strange...ejr
Happened to me as well, but a quick e-mail to the mayor and the problem was solved.
I won't tell you how or why, as I feel that is up to the mayor himself to explain to members at large as he did to me personally.
