I've been seeing this for the last month or so.
My Apple Care ran out this past November, so, I'm out of luck there.
Found a good YouTube video or the replacement procedure. Makes it look rather easy. I heard disconnecting that cable over the battery isn't the easiest.

I should mention....the battery appears to be functioning okay other than a sudden shutdown after I had left my MBP in my card for several hours at -20C.

Anyone have any words of advice before I attempt replacement? Also, what is the best place to purchase a battery? Should it be Apple brand or will any suffice?

Just as I began a presentation yesterday, I started up my MBP and plugged in the VGA adapter. The screen went black. Couldn't bring the screen up. Held the power button to shut down. Restarted only to see the low battery warning. Plugged in the MBP. Restarted again with 2 startup chimes (not sure what that was about). Found the battery at almost 90%. Everything went fine from there. Is this possibly due to a battery that needs servicing?
