I have 2 Rogers e-mail accounts, that I'm unable to access on my Mac.
On my iPhone & iPad I can access these accounts.

I have gone into my keychain to see the passwords & still get the error msg. unable to verify account name or password.

My OS is 10.12.3
Mail is 10.2 (3259)

Try adding another User and add one of the accounts. I also use Mail but Rogers is the outgoing server for my Gmail and it sometimes refuses the send command.

Have had the same problem, as well as a friend. Mobile devices OK but computer problems with rogers. Something to do with the latest OS update. I tried several fixes but the simplest one is to just delete the rogers email account on your computer then re-create it. All will then be fine.

It depends on what type of email account, POP or IMAP and the account settings and what you have saved already.

I'm surprised no-one has replied before now.

Even then, your sent mail & attachments may vanish, depending on how the server settings are configured on your client.

Why not backup up the machine using Time Machine? You can then import the MBOX file if it happens. If your account is Gmail or other free account it will still be there if you fubar the Mail conversion. I fubared my iMac recently and all the current emails on the Gmail server came back - all my old ones (from 2006!) goner ;-( I learned a huge lesson - make sure you can see the file in Time Machine before you "assume" it is backed up.

I'd contact your Rogers tech support for help and maybe your iOS emails can be transferred if needed, as they seem to be working according to your first #1 post above.

have you set up the rogers accounts as Yahoo? seems rogers has migrated to them for everything email.

I found out you have to have @rogers.com after the user name.
Issue has been resolved. (for now)
Thanks all.

As they say, the problems are usually in the details. ;)

Thanks for the feedback on your solution.
