Duty of purchases out of country?

I am ordering a watch from Japan. The cost Canadian is $158.00 Anyone if there is duty, taxes or tariffs on something in this price range?

Duty, yes; taxes, yes; tariffs, probably not. Expect a customs/brokerage fee in addition, depending on how the item is being shipped and whether or not the seller deals with Canada Customs themselves, or has experience in that area.

so taxes I can expect to be just our local taxes in Ontario so GST and PST? How does Tariffs work? Is it a percentage of the total cost of the item?
