According to Mac Minute, there are now 1 GB DDR266 DIMMS available, priced at $499 US, bringing the maximum RAM for the Powerbooks (12.1" model) to 1.1 GB.

Old news, since 1GB DDR333 (a.k.a PC2700) SO-DIMMs have been available from Kingston Technology and Crucial for quite some time now. But at $1100 and $1200 CDN each respectively, it's not all that affordable to do a quick test for 12" AlPB Compatibility.

I am however using a 512MB DDR333 SO-DIMM Kingston stick in the 12" and will be reviewing that shortly.

Oh, on that topic, Envy News has reviewed two more Mac-related hardware items:

Waterfield Designs' iPod Case

Contour Designs' ShuttlePRO V.2
