I noticed at the AppleStore that the Dual 1.25 pricing structure has changed a bit. The only way to order a cheap Dual 1.25 from Apple is to scale down the highend custom build 1.25 Dual (the $4700 !!! one) . The least expensive dual is still 2249.00 though.Some of the benchmarks showing up (see Macworld review) that seem to indicate that the dual g4's hold their own against the 1.6 and even 1.8 G5's at what was is much better price point. I have seen the 1.6 G5 and did not think it was significantly faster than the dual G4's. Beautiful fit and finish though.

This configuration change occurred quite a number of weeks ago. At first it looked like they were getting rid of the cheap duals, it wasn't very obvious that you could still order a stripped down one...
