Did I miss the Memo On Free Tunes Tuesday

Has Apple dropped Free Song Tuesdays. I didn't get an email advising me of new music and on the Music Store no free download.

Has apple now trained me and enough other people to go to the music store for new music Tuesday no need for freebee?

Oh poo I say. :-(

Their free songs sucked...
The good thing about opinions is that they're your own, and not necessarily everyone else's.
Yah, I noticed that today too. Was quite bummed and hope they're only taking a one week hiatus, like they've done in the past.

I wasn't speaking for everyone there. Just felt I needed to put it out there. ;)
Because it added value and depth to the dialogue?
Or because it was important that we knew your opinion?

At any rate, I think it was a great thing them offering the free song every Tuesday. It offered people a chance to explore and broaden their tastes. And at the very worst, a free song.

Perhaps there was nothing of value you to you, fine.

Your comment sucked. Just felt that needed to be out there too.

Adds about as much value, right?

Typically, message boards consist of different people with different opinions. Thus, not everyone will agree with the next person, as you don't agree with my opinion that the free offered iTunes songs were less than steller. My intent was to add some life, controversy, and a new twist to the to the thread (which, I guess, it apparently did, based on your all out serious response).

Don't fret over it too much, it's far too entertaining at your expense.

;)

But no, really, I'm not interested in fighting with you. :)
Thanks for the recap of what went down. As well as what happens on message boards, it's really shed some light on this discussion. This could have really spun out of control… ruined my life. Bud. Nipped.

You see I am fretting about this as much as you are. It's not a fight, is it? I mean I picked up on your blinkies, smilies and winkies, that denote this a (air quotes) playful discussion. Those were my entertainment.

Night Lars.
Seriously, go to bed.
I am.
Personally, I enjoy (enjoyed? I hope not!) the free songs. There have been many that I didn't like, however 2 of the past free songs are in my top 5 played (Tomorrow Starts Today, by Mobile (#1) and Once Again, by Moka Only (#4)). I also bought a Buck 65 album after his free song.

If someone has something constructive to say about why they don't enjoy any of the songs, I would love to hear it. Not enough different genres?
I've certainly found some real dogs in the Free Song bin, but these two recent cuts weren't bad at all:

Thinking of it - Pascale Picard

Talk of the Town - Kate Walsh

I mean, c'mon amigos! We get what we pay for -with the occasional surprise. :)

tb3, your closing reminded me of something from the great J.P. Donleavy:

Girls
What about
Me

I am
Do no
Harm
Either

As this is a family board, I can't give you the context.;) Anyway, free music is usually worth it, and when it isn't, you're only out a few minutes of download, update, and listening time.
i got a tegan and sara song off iTunes for free last year some time, and i'm still in love with that song!
Yes Virginia there is Free Music on iTunes.

Good News! Free Music is still available. I received my Email today of "New Music Tuesday" and the free song by Jeremy Fisher was interesting enough for a download.

Better Late than never. :)

I sometimes enjoy the free music; sometimes it is interesting enough to give it a test drive; and once and a while it is a whole 30 seconds wasted that is if I don't have the presence of mind to hit pause.

But then again when your an old fart from the hinterland one third of moment tain't to much time.
I like the free single, as I don't listen to commercial radio (if you want to talk about suck). I like the wide variety, of the free single, and I really like the fact that it's not some over paid rap artist, but real music. It's a mostly a hit or miss, and mostly misses, but there are a few gems that I've found on the free weekly single.

Though the best free thing ITS ever put out was the John Hodgeman "The area of My Expertise" audio book. 4 hours of absolute nonsense.

I have to agree with you Hodgeman is one PC that is value for the money especially at the value of free. :D
