Not sure if this will work but maybe if you press the otion key and move your cursor around upper left corner of the widget on your desktop a X will appear which you could click on to close that widget.
Dash-it is one word, but I cant type it that way because ehmac server thinks it's a bad word when it's written as one. Thats why there is stars instead of letters after Da.
I think people are misunderstanding what I'm talking about. Da**** is a new dashboard widget mac has and lets you drag your widgets onto your desktop. But the widgets float on top of my windows, and I want the widgets underneath.
He's talking about this...

http://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/developer/da****.html

"Install this little nifty widget tool, click the Red buttom, and all your Widgets can be dragged on to your Desktop!

Hold with the mice the Widget and push F12 ! Bang, here we go! The widget is on your Desktop! And they stay there even when the computer is been switshed off and on again."

Try closing and reopening the widget again, as suggested above. If that fails, try deleting the .plist file for the widget in question (do a Spotlight search for the name of the widget, then look for <yourwidget>.plist). It's essentially deleting the preferences file for that one widget. I suspect that Dash It somehow modifies the preferences for widgets which allows them to remain on the desktop (maybe it enables Dashboard's "developer mode" on a per-widget basis?)...
