I am trying to determine if there is a way to control my MacBook fan. I am spinning (dj'ing) at an outdoor BBQ this Saturday and I use my laptop with Torq Conectiv; I also use actual vinyl. As it is going to be warm I want to ensure my laptop doesn't cook. Aside from covering it, is there a way to control the fan. Perhaps have it turn on more frequently, or turn it on and leave it on.
Little nervous to try it out prior to this weekends gig.
If I was to put one of those blue gelpacs, wrapped in plastic so no moisture will escape, perhaps a thin towel as well under my MacBook, would I being playing with fire or is this a fair / good idea to ensuring it runs cool?
I will be under a tent to ensure no direct sunlight.
