Claro USB Modem
Hello!
My family and I have moved to Nicaragua and have brought our iMac and MacBook with us. We recently purchased 2 Claro USB modems to access the Internet. Both of the computers run Mac OS X 10.4.11, but the Internet connection on the iMac is SO much slower (slow enough that it is not even worth waiting). The iMac has 116 GB of free space on the harddrive, and the MacBook has 9. The MacBook has been dropped, used and abused, carted across continents in a backpack, and, quite frankly, I'm amazed it still works properly.
I would like to know what the possible reasons for the vast difference in performance with the USB modems.
Any suggestions to make the Internet run more quickly with the iMac are welcome.
