My Macintel had one of those nail-biting, interminable "GSOS" ("gray screen of suspense") with the vertigo inducing pinwheel spin. I just kept looking at the Apple logo... you know it's there in order to calm a worrying fanboi, and then... the reboot, the Godly chime, and I'm back up.

Well well well.

This BIG security update seems to be an almost total response to the MOAB project that went on back in January. Six of the bug fixes detailed on Apple's page are accredited by Apple to have been discovered by the MOAB effort.

Did the king forget his clothes?

On a related note, a security conference is currently taking place in Vancouver. There is a contest with two loaded macBooks. If you can hack it, you can take it home. The MacBooks -- plus a $10,000.00 bounty, are the prize! :yikes: Stay tuned on THAT one!
