Funny I was in some store last week and I saw Canadian legend action figures, I think it was Wilfred Laurier.

From that list, I'd consider Banting, MacDonald, Pearson, Gretzky, Shatner (there are actually non-geek reasons), McLuhan, Suzuki, Molson (beejacon) and Richler. Each one, whether by popular appeal, changing the way people look at things, hard work and/or initiating change accomplished amazing things.

Yikes! I forgot Tommy! Guess that means I'll have my red card revoked...

TTTT, I was thinking more along the line of desktop eye-candy, (Perdita, Chantal) but I figured I should round it out a bit more....

Another option is a whole bunch of pictures that are colour/shade adjusted into a maple leaf using that technique that is seen a lot now. I don't know the name, but it is quite common.

If it's eye candy without the guilt, throw in a picture of Candy to round out the joke.

I would go with Terry Fox and/or Stephen Lewis.
