canada to japan (tokyo) - adapter plug

i am trying to figure out what i need to plug in my powerbook charger , when i go to tokyo .

this is what it says on the charger :
apple japan input: AC 1.2A 100-240V
50/60Hz output 24.V 1.875A

canada is 120 V , 60 Hz
and tokyo is 100 V , 50 Hz

so it... looks like i am safe with the adapter i have? has anyone experienced going to tokyo with such an adapter before? (japan and canada use similar sockets)

from Electricity around the world: everything about plugs, sockets, voltages, converters, etc.
"Fortunately, most laptop battery chargers and AC adapters are dual voltage, so they can be used with only a plug adapter for the country you will be visiting."

thanks for any insight!

Here you go:

Japan Primer for the Mac Techno-Tourist

It's from 2005, but there are probably lots of similar articles. I googled "mac power japan"

Take care, Margaret
