I bought my last iPod from the refurb store. Arrived quickly, no problems with it since I got it. Saved a buttload of money, too.

My Second Gen Shuffle is a refurb - no problems from what I can tell (apart from they didn't send a dock - but that was resolved after a couple of phone calls). Saved $30 on the new price too.

Just ordered a mini from the refurb store, again, saving plenty of cash.

Refurb is key. In fact, every Mac product I've owned (except a first gen Shuffle) has been refurb, and I've had no problems whatsoever, and saved hundreds of dollars in the process. The only setback is that sometimes the exact item you want isn't available at that particular moment. The solutions is usually just luck and patience, checking the Apple refurb store all the time... Yup, refurb is the best.

My work ordered almost 40 Refurb iPod Videos last summer (before they put the "Max 9" caps on the orders.

One was DOA. The rest have been working flawlessly ever since (and the one that replaced the DOA one has been perfect).
