The screen on my daughters' iPod nano is broken. Nothing at the bottom of the screen shows up. We just got this iPod before Christmas. I can't believe how easily this thing broke. Do you think that this would be covered under warranty?

Is the screen broken as in cracked or is it just not showing information on part of the display? If it's "broken" it's probably not covered. If the screen has stopped working, it's covered.
You're lucky. Apple said to their Apple Care employees to accept almost any iPod repair request, only evident abuse will be rejected. Go to Apple.com/support/ and register a repair order. They'll send you a box and instructions on how to send it back to them.
