that computer won't sell.

this is what probably happened:

the system puts the price you see on the tag to be a percentage of what the final price of that unit was (the "clearance price.").

the system does not take into account others in its range, and has to be manually changed to really suit the situation. from what you're saying, the price does need to be adjusted, but the store has to also take into account the gross margin percentage that the imac holds. in certain situations, it's ok to just let it go so that it gets out of the store, but some stores are a bit more conservative than others.

not all future shops are the same.

it's like saying, "everybody named ted is a jerk,"

the kingston store isn't as mac-saavy as say, the hamilton store (MY future shop) or else the price would have been down a bit lower. if i remember, i'll call up the kingston store and tell 'em.
