Obviously, there are differences between these two graphics cards, but what is the relevance underlying these difference? Might one of these cards be more useful for editing iMovie digital video into a potential iDVD DVD disk? And what of digital photography for iPhoto? Gaming is not a factor in the least, so this is not a selling point. I am not asking which is better, but rather, I would like to know which would be more helpful when utilizing iMovie, iDVD and iPhoto. Merci.

The Radeon 9000 will do you better for non-gaming. I say this because the Geforce 4 MX was designed for gaming, not moive editing or the like. Notice the "MX" on nVidia's card. The MX means that the card is stripped down from the Geforce 4, and therefore lacks some features in which the Radeon 9000 and Getorce 4 do not.
