I am more interested in whatever kind of Word comptetitor they are coming up with.

**PULLED OFF SPYMAC'S WEBSITE**

Apple's upcoming accounting application that will "manage your budget and analyze your spending habits" will be called 'Budget' and will only be available in Apple's future office suite, Spymac has learned.

The application will interface with the upcoming spreadsheet component (also to be included in the $249 office suite) and will produce sleek charts that visualize your financial balances and cash flow activity. Come tax time, Budget will provide "smart tax tips" that are generated based on an analysis of the aforementioned cash flow activity, though the actual filing of taxes will not be handled by the program. International users listen up: Budget will fully support international currency and will truly be location-independent.

Like iPhoto's simplistic feature list, Budget will not be a replacement for staple applications such as Quicken and QuickBooks... at least not in its first incarnation. What it will be, says our source, is an easy way to keep track of where your money goes. To make sure the program isn't neglected, an impressive range of export options are said to be included. Spymac will provide further information on Budget as it becomes available.

What are people's reactions on this?

Nah. That's got as much credibility as the iWalk. A finance app with tax tips requires way too much effort to localize and to even keep up to date in the US.
