Class action suits are usually a make work project (and sometimes make huge amounts of money) for lawyers and their firms.
Wasn't there a number of class action suits filed in the states to "cover" smokers of a particular brand of cigarette? I remember reading that the law firm supporting the suit recieved payment in the 100's of millions while the 1000's of smokers covered in the settlement got a share that amounted to less than a $1000. Correct me if I am wrong but there has been a number of these class action suits covering everything and usually the only people getting money is the law firm supporting the suit.
