Apple plans on opening mini stores within select Best Buy locations later this summer. I know for sure that they are opening in London, Kitchener, etc. This is why maybe there is talk of the iPhone coming to Best Buy.

They are coming to Toronto as well. I interviewed for one of the positions, but didn't make the cut.

And how is it that you know?
Maybe the same way I know. Maybe he interviewed for one of the positions. Maybe he was hired. Maybe his friend was. Does it matter?
We need more Apple-related stores in Ottawa...

I'm actually surprised that Apple hasn't opened a store in the nation's capital. You'd think that would be on their list someplace....

Exactly.

Yes it does. Look at the number of 'new members' we have had join ehmac in the past month that right away have jumped in and started making posts claiming that they know 'this or that' about the iPhone.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that most of these are phishers who think that Mac users are as gullible as some Windows users. I apologize to anyone that is posting legitimate accurate information. You're post has put some credibility to this thread. I look carefully at the claims being made, and the 'number of posts' the writer has.
Playing devil's advocate here... if guytoronto has interviewed for a position, and these mini-stores evolve into an actuality, it turns out that the initial post (the poster's 2nd post in 2+ years; and they share your join-date) was correct.

Also in the thread is a recent Mac-convert, recent ehMac member with only a handful of posts, who nevertheless asks pertinent questions and will no doubt one day give back to the forums in return.

Point taken but I think the obtuse posts about unlocking and such are just naive posters, and not from anyone attempting to phish. It's easy enough to see what they're about, or lacking, with some exceptions (like gmug's confusing news-spam).
