*Start Rant* Windows Movie Maker is the apitamy of bad microsoft software. I tried to do a school project with my firewire card, first of all, it didn't detect my camera  , let alone my firewire card, and whenever I imported a clip, it crashed. Unlike iMovie, with Windows Movie Maker it is a pain in the butt to cut clips  . When Microsoft brought out Windows Movie Maker 2.0, it wasn't much better, a few more features and better compatibility (Ya Right). So, all in all, Windows Movie Maker is NOTHING like iMovie, and WMM is not easier to use than iMovie. *End Rant*

2 evenings to instal the FW card and for the PC to read it properly
1 evening for the camera to be detected/drivers to be installed (Fixed pics only via USB, movie only via FW)
1 evening to understand import settings and set it to DV/high quality mode
1 evening to import and realise that images would skip on a P3/850, even with plenty of RAM (MS recommends P4/2.4G)

Say no more
