Anyone tried this? Do you guys think it's legit?

Just to post the other side of this...

There's nothing inherently suspicious about registering a domain this way. AND this IS after all a new service that just became available literally in the past couple of days, so obviously it will be a new domain.

I can't say either way if it's legit or not, but let's not all be as jaded and skeptical of new businesses as However is.

It's just someone else re-selling the iphonesimfree solution....like a million other small time resellers....they are spamming all the iphone related forums.
fer sure.

These guys will pop up left and right just like the basic cell phone resellers pop up @ Pacific Mall for example. This will continue to happen for sure. For now, there is no other way of accessing the s/w as the developer is selling the licenses in batches of 50 (minimum) and are not going direct to the end user.

I could imagine the headaches of having to take so many orders @ 1nce. No question that they needed resellers.

Anyhow, I am waiting for the how to video to be posted. This is due any day now.

iTunes 7.4.1 released, disables ringtone trick

MacFixIt - iTunes 7.4.1 released, disables ringtone trick

Apple has released iTunes 7.4.1 which appears to serve no purpose other than disabling the trick that allowed files renamed with an .m4r extension to be used as ringtones without separate purchase under iTunes 7.4 (released earlier this week).

Meanwhile, iToner -- a tool for transferring ringtones to the iPhone without hacking or jailbreaking -- has been updated (version 1.0.1) to resolve an issue where ringtones transferred by it were deleted by synchronization with iTunes 7.4.

UPDATE: The free transfer method works again. Here's how.

I would be wary of any iPhoneSimFree reseller who isn't listed on iPhoneSimFree's authorized reseller page.

Hopefully these guys will get listed soon, $45 seems very reasonable. My wife and I drove down to Buffalo and picked up 2 8GB iPhones yesterday. We're having fun with them as iPods, but I'm dying to ditch my old cell phone!

From what I can tell, it doesn't appear iPhoneSimFree has actually released the software to resellers yet though. Everyone seems to just be taking pre-orders. If anyone confirms they got their phone unlocked from any of these iPhoneSimFree resellers, please post your results!

They actually missed listing one reseller on their from Australia ... he was actually one of the first ones to start advertising/ebaying the unlocks...

iPhoneSimFree Confirmed Success!

I can confirm that iPhoneSimFree does in fact work. I unlocked two iPhones this evening using iPhoneSimFree licenses I purchased from FreeOuriPhones.com - iPhone(tm) Unlocking

Cost was $59US, and they emailed me within minutes with the software, instructions and confirmation that my license was active. They also provided prompt email support when I had some issues related to activating after unlocking. I'd definitely recommend these guys to anyone.

I tested sending/receiving calls, sms text messages, and voicemail notifications. Everything works so far except YouTube. This has to be hacked separately from what I've seen on the 'net. My wife and I are both happy campers!
