Just a bit of levity in all the Panther flap.

Our operation is littered with years of CDs, bad burns, PC only stuff, on and on ....you know even old AOL pitches

I've used a few for support of my chair on the rug ( deep pile and even TWO plastic mats still gets bumpy) and the CDs are hard and are a good sandwich material for rolling around.

Likely they are excellent scarecrow material in a garden or for a flashy baby mobiles.
Let's see...... tucked on away on a camping trip as an emergency mirror maybe.

Other ideas.......goofy or not lets hear the best use of this expensive litter  :D

A reflective, somewhat noiseless windchime. Well you asked!

Frisbees for little people? Hell, they are great for us not-so-little people too. CDs are great frisbees. Also, if you are into breaking things, they appear to have a 'sweet spot' somewhere near the middle. An interesting experiment is smacking a CD with some keys on a lanyard. The result is a lot of small pieces of the used-to-be CD. A LOT of little pieces.
