Hello,

I'm trying to transfer photos taken (and on) my iPhone 5s onto my MBA 11".

The AirDrop function works fine, then it doesn't... then it works fine, then it doesn't... I think you get the picture.

My MBA *always* sees my iPhone 5s. My iPhone 5s, *sometimes* sees my MBA.

I haven't found any logic to it, whatsoever.

Is this normal ? And, more important..., how to fix it ??

Thanks for any ideas or suggestions.

Marc

Yes, I've tried all those. Remember, in my situation, it's not that is does NOT work, it's that it works intermittently.

That fact it works, sometimes, mean its compatible and the settings are ok.

What I don't get is why, without changing any settings at all, it suddenly stops working and, then, still without changing any settings at all, it starts working again...???

Is this common ??

That usually is due to interference and can be caused by many things you'll need to try and track down:
Just from the top of my head…:
- cordless phones
- poor/cheap LED/CFL or fluorescent lamps
- microwave ovens
- refrigerator/freezer motors
- any nearby appliance motor

And I'm sure there are many more.

Have a look in some Console logs in case something helpful shows up there.

Or use some other type of sharing service.

Maybe something here???:
