Can you give a clearer example - I'm not certain of what the question is.

I don't see how anything related to regular e-mail could be a privacy concern.

E-mails by definition are not private correspondence - compare them to sending a postcard (unless you use email encryption).

How are generic ads a privacy concern? I can see people considering GMail ads a privacy concern, since they're based on what's in your inbox... but it's an automated program, not a person, that "reads" your email...

Free, disposable email addresses have their uses, but why not use your own domain-hosted email addresses? It's secure, personal, you can change your address ( [email protected]) when you like, and there are no ads (unless you 'ad' them yourself).

i have several of those type of email account like hotmail and yahoo and that is why i take those only for junk so i won't have to worry about my privacy. My Mail.app is under a private account "Shaw" and all my friends and people in my good book goes to my private email.

But to answer to your question? Yes
