Adding hard drives in a Mac Pro.

I am about to order new drives for my Mac Pro. I will keep the stock 250 GB as the boot drive and install two new 500 GB in Raid 0 for the best speed. I was looking at this Western Digital 500 GB SATA from Tiger Direct:

Western Digital Caviar SE16 500GB 7200 16MB SATA-300 OEM Hard Drive WD5000AAKS in Canada at TigerDirect.ca

Would this work in the Mac Pro? Would it fit in the tray with no cable just like the stock drive?

I prefer installing Seagate drives - 5 year warranty and good track record.

Yes, it will work quite nicely. The WD drives are good, they have a three year warranty as compared to the Seagate's five year.
Check with your favorite Apple-friendly dealer (there are several that support ehMac), you might find it for close to the same price, but with better customer service.
I'm going to recommend Seagate as well. I added one to my G5 recently, and the 20 MB Seagate MFM disk in the old IBM XT clone (My goodness, I gave the fanboys nightmares and it isn't even Halloween  ) ran fine for 21 years and that computer was in working condition when it finally got junked, too.
