question: if i were to get one of these, would i be able to run the monitors at different resolutions simultaneously?
ex. monitor A at 1024 x 768 while monitor B runs at 800 x 600?

thanks in advance.

Yes but you need a vga extractor unless you have an Apple ADC screen

Any time you have 2 or 3 monitors connected, either via a dual-head card or two video cards, you can have all the monitors at different resolutions. Preferences are set for each monitor.

1) what is a VGA extractor? is it just an adapter or something more heavy duty?

2) if i were to have more than one video card, what would the second card plug into? isn't there only one AGP slot?
