Ever since upgrading to 10.3.2, my iMac lost its startup chime. When either restarting or booting up from a state of shutdown, there is no startup chime. Not an issue, but is anyone having this happen to their Mac?

From Lars's other post, it seems the Pram battery is dead, so Pram is reset every time he unplugs the machine

Yeah, my PRAM battery is indeed toasted, so resetting that won't change a thing. When I get a new battery, I'll see if I can get the startup chime back. ;) Weird that it may rely on the PRAM battery (the chime).

You can still customise all the settings-sound, date/time, mouse, etc. They'll just be lost the next you unplug the machine (or do a full Pram reset). Just check to make sure sound is not on mute, or turned right down...
