NameSync?? Safari just opened and so did this

When I booted up my computer this morning, NameSync opened and locked up my computer. Safari seemed to open too but I don't use Safari. It happened of its own accord. I had to reboot.

There's not much on the web about it though I found a confusing conversation that also included using Malwarebytes and I didn't know we could/should use it on macs.

Oh...and it also said something like this on the screen: Installation or configuration complete.

Sorry that's as precise as I can be. I was just waking up when it happened.

I'm not a techie...so this has me nervous.

Thoughts?

EDIT: I just also remembered that I did updates yesterday. I didn't see what they were. And, it was 15 minutes or so doing the updates.

FWIW I have used the free version of Malwarebytes for years and it is my go-to program to keep my Mac malware free. I have no hesitation suggesting it to anyone to scan their HD and get rid of malware.

Chances are really good if you open Safari and quickly clear history, cookies etc, that will rid your computer of that Malware. Also check your personal account in system prefs. to be sure there are no unwanted log in items.

Thanks for suggestions! I used Clean My Mac X and was able to uninstall NameSync. And, what the heck is it anyway?

I'll check out the malwarebites, too and clear history, etc.

...

This is where a Google search can be so helpful and provide an answer, and, as they say, Just Google it.

IE:
what is NameSync
https://www.google.com/search?q=what...hrome&ie=UTF-8

Just a part of 'Teach a man to fish'!!

EDIT PS: Sure not much constructive info out there on "NameSync" that I could find.
Not the best example to suggest for a google search, sorry.
