It's true. This is all about my gf not being able to print from iPhoto because of some 'missing themes'. No other way to fix this other than reinstalling.

For the record, CubaMark, iWeb was also designed in the 21st Century. But thanks, I will check out Tumult's Hype. So far, it appears to be designed more for creating animations than creating actual web pages, but perhaps I'm missing something...

Sometimes I forget how old I am....

Hype isn't for every kind of site design, it's true... and it was originally designed simply to create HTML5 animations for those who wanted to toss Adobe's Flash in the trash.

But as it has developed, the capabilities for fairly complex sites are there. It's also good for building games, animated Books, etc. Surprisingly powerful

It doesn't create pages / sub-pages, but rather *scenes* which can function as pages. Definitely something to wrap the brain around... Tumult has a great YouTube channel dedicated to showcasing Hype's capabilities.

iLife 11

I also discovered some more iWeb themes on the App Store that should give me some more options for a while yet. I don't know why Apple couldn't have just updated iWeb anyway...it's a darn good app even without official support.

I agree but are iWeb sites going to be incompatible with modern browsers?

I would still be using iWeb if it weren't for modern browser incompatibilities. As an example, a site I manage for a local community heritage group is still in iWeb format... and after every tiny update I need to have the Windows users in the group check the site for problems. Most of the time they can be fixed easily by moving an element here or there, but iWeb just isn't producing sufficiently clean code. Hype is the first app I've come across that has the same easy drag-and-drop-and-position interface, but coupled with some wicked cool capabilities.
