IC: 15" Macbook Pro - High Res, 2.2 i7, 8GB, 128GB SSD, warranty until Oct 2012

SOLD

I've decided I want a tower and 11" MacBook Air instead.

Just checking to see if there'd be any interest in this machine.

- Early 2011 model
- Warranty until Oct 7th, 2012
- High res matte display
- 2.2Ghz i7 quad core
- 8GB RAM
- 128GB SSD or original 750GB HDD
- Dual graphics, etc

It's in absolute mint condition, aside from some scuffing on the bottom.

w/ HDD - $1700
w/ SSD - $1800
w/ SSD & HDD (in optical bay) - $1850

Also looking for partial trades towards an early Mac Pro and/or 11" MacBook Air (4GB, 128GB, backlit keyboard)

......

Just saying that I pretty much have that exact machine but the Late 11 version and I love it! Sturdy, stylish, fast.... Amazing!

Hi, thank you for your question.

No, this is not the same model. The one you're referring to has the standard glossy display, has a 500GB HDD, and only has 4GB ram. You should check the specs more carefully, as these are nothing alike.

The one I am selling isn't available on the refurb'd store at the moment.

There are two models you can compare this one to.

- The one that sells for $1699 which has the same specs as mine, except only has 4GB ram and the standard screen - the high res was a $100 upgrade, so $1799.
- The one that sells for $1989 (seen on refurb.me), which has 4GB of ram, the high res screen and has a 128GB SSD.

So as you can see, unlike some people, I am not selling mine above the retail price.

Here's the math, in case you're interested:

Option 1 (750GB hdd): $1799 + tax = $2032.87 + $60 for ram upgrade = $2092.87 - $1700 = $392.87 savings vs buying 'new' (refurb'd)

Option 2 (128GB SSD): $1989 + tax = $2247.57 + $60 for ram upgrade = $2307.57 - $1800 = $507.57 savings vs buying 'new' (refurb'd)

Option 3 (both drives): $1799 + tax = $2032.87 + $60 for ram upgrade + $192 for SSD upgrade + $30 for optical drive kit = $2314.87 - $1850 = $464.87 savings vs buying 'new' (refurb'd)

---------------

Okay thank you for the info!
But wouldn't it be better to buy the refurb one at $1569 and upgrade the drive aftermarket?

Look at all the money you could save!
Nice machine though and good luck with the sale!
