As I said before a 6 month old machine for $150 off is not a deal or steal just a good price!
You don't save something you don't have to pay! The tax savings is not a valid argument as it's not payable on a private sale!
If you bought it retail and didn't pay tax then the savings would then be real!

Gobble all you want (and take a math class, 980-800=180), it's a steal to me!

Damn right it was a steal. People always pull that BS when talking about tax, but bottom line is that you have to pay it. That machine would have cost well over $1200 just a few months ago. I think you would be hard pressed to find that deal anywhere!

I always find it amusing when people convince themselves that they are saving something that they don't pay for in the first place!
You do not pay sales tax on a private sale therefore how do you save money that you aren't paying anyway!
I was at a store recently and was ready to buy an item and asked for a little something extra, the salesperson said they can offer free shipping!
Guess what! Yes they already were offering free shipping so then did I get that little something extra as people here would like you to believe!
Once again I think not!

I don't understand what the discussion about the price is for. I sold it for what I wanted, and the purchaser paid what he wanted. No discussion necessary. Everyone wins and is happy, let it be...

+1, it is worth what the buyer is willing to pay and the seller is content with getting. Worked well here, lets move on.
