MacBook Pro 2.53 15" unibody for iMac

Looking to trade my MacBook Pro for an iMac of equivalent value (or under with extra $$)

MacBook Pro 2.53
15" screen
4GB RAM
Unibody with removeable battery
320GB HDD

Great condition, and AppleCare just bought in Oct. 2009.
Includes all software, w box and documentation

more specs: MacBook Pro "Core 2 Duo" 2.53 15" (Unibody) Specs (Late 2008/Unibody, MB471LL/A, A1286, MacBookPro5,1) @ EveryMac.com

iMac should have big screen :)

Also okay to hear just cash$$ offerings

not a refurb (I'm the 2nd owner), as for price: unsure but thinking 1400 area

You should get more than $1400... I regularily see similar specs to this move on Craigslist/Kijiji for $1500-1600.

Refurbished MacBook Pro 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo - Apple Store (Canada)

plus Apple Care!

darkscot Mar 27th, 2010 06:24 PM

true, but some big differences for some between the two: What are the differences between the "SD - Mid-2009" 15-Inch MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo models and the "Late 2008/Unibody" MacBook Pro notebooks that they replaced? @ EveryMac.com

Your unit comes with approx. 2 years AppleCare, no? That's worth something...

Maybe your best bet would be to sell it and buy a refurb!
I've seen some of the 24's for $1349

Just wondering, what do you mean by "great condition"?

Thanks! :D

darkscot Mar 28th, 2010 12:17 PM

great meaning no scratches, defects, warping, etc. one slight, almost virtually unnoticeable indent on top.
battery health at 93%
and as mentioned above, applecare for another 1.5 years
