That's just silly.

The new owners can leave them old rules in place and we can continue to abide by them as we did before until such time as they revise them.

When are you putting that over-priced MacBook up for sale?

It's a ridiculous concept. I post something on a public forum, I accept the fact that the conversation may not go the way I attended. You want classifieds, take away the possibility of responding. Make it phone, PM or e-mail only.

Isn't the word "overpriced" misplaced here? What are you trying to hide?

The guidelines were so incredibly prescriptive that it was also against the former policy to offer a price lower than the seller is asking, if they state the price is "firm."

I believe in haggling, Just don't believe in heckling.
It's a slippery slope when you have to use an example of a device being sold elsewhere
at a cheaper price, To me, That's like comparing a store to an individual,
Course the store will always sell it cheaper. (Depending on the store though)

oh well

I think you make a good point, Lawrence. There is a difference between commenting on a price and heckling the seller, and that line should not be crossed.

Yes it was:

- No "Price Policing!" If you think an item is priced to high, you are free to make a reasonable offer via private message (PM), or you may ignore the post. Do not offer a lower price if the seller has stated their price is firm.
