15" 2.5GHz Macbook Pro (Early 2008), 22" LCD and MORE! Dropped to $500!

For sale is an Early 2008 15" Macbook Pro, Acer X223W 22" Wide Screen LCD Display, Apple Magic Mouse, Think Tank Artificial Intelligence 15 Laptop Bag and Griffin Elevator Laptop Stand.

The Macbook Pro is in great condition physically, with only one mark on the bottom of the laptop. Comes with two Apple genuine batteries (one pretty new, one almost dead). I upgraded the RAM to 4GB and replaced the internal hard drive to a 500GB Seagate. The laptop runs well and has been well taken care of. Everything works except one issue: this week the monitor on the laptop began to work intermittently. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. I suspect there is a loose connection inside. This is why we've lowered the price on the laptop, and am including the 22" LCD. Even when the Macbook Pro monitor doesn't work, you can still use the computer via the Acer LCD without a problem. If you are adventurous, you can try to repair the laptop yourself. I will load a fresh copy of OS X 10.8.3 for you. Everything else is in great condition and I have the boxes for everything. Pick up in Markham, cash only.

Me thinks you may have the dreaded Nvidia death machine and now showing signs of it's pending suicide.

Though if it was the nVidia failure wouldn't it not show on the external monitor? Could be a loose or frayed LVDS cable.
