Question Weird question: Macbook Pro screws...

Hi gang,

I have a weird one for you: Macbook Pro screws... where can you buy them?

I have a recent Macbook Pro teardown, but it's missing some vital screws. Apple Genius Bar placed a bunch of them in a baggy after I rejected their offer to repair my faulty motherboard for an astronomical fee, and I've since misplaced them. Why on earth they didn't just re-attach them is anyone's guess.

Rather than take one here and there from other laptops I own, I was wondering if anyone knows anywhere that sells screws this small?

We're talking the small case screws on the underside of an aluminum Macbook Pro, the longer screws at the hinge, but on the underside of the case and the battery securing screws inside the case.

I haven't tried any local stores yet, but thought I'd drop a question before I start looking. Usually someone on here hits the nail (screw?) on the head and saves everyone a bunch of time.

Was wondering if you are close to an authorized repair location. Maybe you can get them there. Not sure if FS or BB does this, but you could try there. If not in stock, maybe they can order them for you.

The reason they take months to do a Mac repair involves them sending stuff out for repair. Not a timely selection..

Look up which screws you need on ifixit.com . There is a chance that they are carried locally, otherwise go with eBay.
