I want to upgrade my Lombard laptop to Jaguar and I
have discovered a few differnet options, In your opinion
which is the best route to take on a very limited budget.
Here's the choices that I've found:

1) Nothing on eBay

2) Other World Computing has 2 upgrade versions that
will install Jaguar as an update to OS 10.1 or OS
10.1.4, The 2 install packages are $49.99 usd or
$59.99 usd.

3) Clickonmacs has an OEM C.D. of Jaguar 10.2 for $129. cad

4) Macwhorehouse has Jaguar for $189. cad

5) Apple.ca has Jaguar for $195.

The reason why I need to upgrade to Jaguar is
because I just found out that the 8 mb ATI LT Pro video
card in my Lombard won't work properly with any OS
below OS 10.2.4 (Kind of a rude awakening)

Dave

Dolawren, Have you considered NOT upgrading to Jaguar, and instead wait a few weeks for Panther (10.3) ?

Of course, I have no idea if the Lombard can handle Panther, but if you're going to spend the money, might as well get the latest and greatest...

Jaguar is very finicky about ram. Be sure your ram is 8 ns or faster.

...Or save a few bucks by waiting for Panther to be released and then buy Jag at a fire sale price (my vote is still for buying Panther).

Thanks for the suggestions, I guess I'll have to wait to see what the next OS looks like then.

Thanks again
