I don't have a video car to part out but I have an NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT video card I can part out if you need something from it.

I'm going to do it, but no genius appointments available today--and assignments due tonight, so I had to get a card today.

The new card works fine, BTW. It really was those bulging caps.

I have the same video card in my white iMac and it is also displaying weird artifacts. I have installed smc fan control and turned up the fans to keep it cool(er). So far so good. The hotter ti gets the worst is displays, now running at 85 degrees F.

Apple Store Yorkdale "Genius Bar." failed to surprise me. They offered to order me a brand new graphics card at full price.

Also brought in my crapped out 30" Cinema Display for a repair quote. They didn't even have a second power brick handy to test the unit. Genius was completely confused, but delighted to tell me that it could be repaired for only $1,249.00 plus TAX. On the other hand, I was offered a brand new 27" display at full price plus TAX.

Screw you, Genius Bar. I suspect their genius consists of saving Apple money and disappointing customers to the degree that they leave them alone.
