Question Creating a bootable application disc.

Hi,
so I have been trying to create a bootable disc of utilities. I have attempted at searching google for answers but none seem to point me in the right direction, however I will keep looking around in the meantime. I have a .dmg of utilities, now can I just burn that to a disc thats formatted to be bootable?

I dont know ... Im confused a wee bit.

Thanks for any help.

No.

What you can do is make a bootable external HD by installing a valid OS on said HD, and then install utilities on said HD that you can run while booted from said HD. You can't do this via a regular CD/DVD, however.

You can also do this via a USB key. Provided it is big enough 16gb should be plenty of room 8 might be enough depending one how many and what utilities you are looking at

Does my memory fail me or do I correctly recall that there is a way to make a bootable rescue disc IF you already have, for example, a copy of DiskWarrior (which is bootable)...?
