Has anyone installed airport cards and noticed that the prongs on the airport card frame were bent? What is the repair procedure when this happens?

What type of machine?

You should be able to simple straiten them out using a non-metallic object but do so at your own risk.

Just make sure machine is off and unplugged, with main battery out if it is a portable and PRAM battery disconnected.

The machine with the problem is the G4 iMac.
What is the risk in trying to straighten the prongs myself?
This is probably a dumb question, but why the necessity of using a non-metallic object to straighten out the prongs?
