Unhappy

I have a display problem with a green vertical line going through the middle of my screen!!! Unfortunately it is enrepaiable and needs to be replaced entirely!!!!
I am hoping to find someone who is getting rid of their G4 Ti book because they have some hardware problems that are unrepairable and would like to sell me their computer providing the screen is in perfect order....Please reply with your offers or info ....

What is causing the green vertical line? Is it the video data cable? I know everyone does claim that the screens are a sealed unit and can not be worked on but that is absolutely not the case.

It is not the cable , since that is what 3 technicians have said....Although they are not 100% sure of this, it is difficult to test because the cable is not stocked by _uckin' Apple...It is attached to the entire screen , thus, i need a screen not a cable...If that was the case
I would have ordered a cable...

I do understand your situation. What is an Apple tech anyway….

You would have to buy a used cracked screen to get that cable. I am not saying it is a cable problem for sure but it might be. They are not that hard to find but will take time. You also have to find someone that can take the sealed screen apart. I bet if you ask an Apple tech, they will say it can not be done. That is because a lot of them really do not have the ingenuity to solve a simple problem. There are a lot of good Apple techs around but you have to find one.

Let me know how much you want for your screen if you are interested in selling it as is. If you want to buy a new computer, I may be interested in the whole thing.
