Hi I haven't seen this crash personally but a crash in pmap.c is a virtual memory issue - it could be a bug or it's possible a borked drive (try Diskwarrior) may be having issues remapping the virtual memory on the disk.

Please note you will need to update to DiskWarrior 4 rev42 to work with Snow Leopard. Chealion took the words right out of my mouth, my first suggestion was going to be DW + permission repair.

Not quite clear as to why the multi user set-up. Generally should only be used if 2 users are constantly interrupting each other on the same computer. At that point a second computer makes a lot more sense.

I am one of the few that have had multiple kernel panics under Snow leopard. But my situation is completely different from yours (MBP with screen freezes). I've been to the Genius Bar twice in two days. They tested the hardware and found nothing wrong. The Genius I saw yesterday admitted that he has seen the MBPs at the Genius bar act up under SL.

Hopefully, Chealion's suggestion will work for you. Otherwise, I guess we'll have to wait for 10.6.1

I have DiskWarrior 4.1 and can't figure out how to update. Am I crazy?

Since you didn't mention it, you have to visit Alsoft, Inc. Makers of DiskWarrior and MasterJuggler to get the update.

If you'd poked around the site a bit, you'd have found this update form:
DiskWarrior 4 Version 4.2 Update

It's a free update if you own 4.x already.
