iMac - woohooo got my new 24" iMac!! Now how to sync w/macbook?
Woohoo so after FutureShop had my HP Vista PC for over 2 months they finally gave up and gave me $900 credit towards my new 24" iMac now I am all happy and excited, how do I sync my macbook contents with the iMac. I do not have the firewire cable so I did not transfer my info. when setup the iMac. Thanks for the help!
First off, get yourself a Firewire cable. Then it's a simple matter of using Migration Assistant (found in Applications > Utilities) to move your files and settings.

Not sure how the upgrade stuff works. But if you have an external hard drive you can clone your Macbook's drive using superduper and then clone it all onto your new iMac. Not as efficient as the firewire method but if you want to save a few $$.
