Software Update Problem

So i have this nagging update "LiveType 1.2 for Final Cut Pro HD V1.2" I don't even have Final Cut Pro so i don't need this update.

Anyway the problem is that after the whole thing downloads it then proceeds to tell me that:

The update can't be installed
LiveType cannot be installed on this computer.
This updater is only able to update an existing LiveType application, please make sure the application is located in the Applications folder, and is called "LiveType".

The Installer package has been moved to the Trash. To try again, open the package from the Finder.

can i get rid of this? Please help...it's very annoying

In the menu line there is an option to "ignore update", available when the update appears in the window prior to installation. Select it and choose ignore and it will be gone.

The menu line is the topmost line on your screen. It will have the option under "edit" or somewhere in the menu when your update function box you posted is on your desktop. I just can't remember where and I can't call it up because all my updates are installed.

Look through the menu for "ignore update", click it and your problem should be gone.

The amusing part to me is when you posted that "picture" as you called it for us to look at, the first instruction directly below the picture gave the solution to your problem, headed "Ignore Update".

TeeHee.
