Ipod = Dead :(

My ipod mini seems to be completely dead.

Itunes didn't detect it uppon connection
The Ipod sshowed a battery with no juice, and showed no charging, and that was about it. I tried resetting, and then doing the 6 second reboot on the ipod and now... nothing.

any ideas of where I should go next?

Open up iPod Updater in Applications/Utilities. See if that recognizes it.

If not.. give Disk Utility a try.. at least see if you can see it in there.

When an iPod Mini battery is totally empty it sometimes takes quite a while for the battery logo to get going. From memory it's explained in the manual. Keep it plugged in for a while then see what happens.

To prevent that I always plug my iPod when I'm on my Mac (*plugs his iPod*).
So when I take it with me it's always fully charged. Try it.

That kills the battery life doing this though, I wouldn't charge the battery unless it's below 20%.
