boot from your tiger cd, run disk utility, click on raid, add drives to the raid as per instructions and set up your partitions however you want them, then proceed with the tiger install as per usual.
You don't want to mix those drives in a RAID.
Email us and we can sort you out.
Even a variation as low as a firmware difference on otherwise identical drives can cause problems.

Thanks for the replies. I should be able to find it from disk utilities when booting from Tiger. I was just unsure if that was an option. I was also (still a little) unclear whether it's even "possible" to use two different drives (but same size partition) to setup the raid.
I'll wait until I get my machine to play with it first and see for myself what I can figure out. Then, if needed, I'll get a matching 250GB HD.
Thanks but no thanks Macdoc. I prefer to give my money to someone who will get back to me. You've ignored my emails on several occasions in the past (and I know you've gotten them, you replied with clarifying questions). 3 strikes, you're out.
I don't want your money I was warning you about trying to mix drives - ignore it at your peril.
With a mismatched RAID....ONE strike ....you're out.
Skip the RAID and just use the drives separately.
