Best video card for DP 1.42 G4

What is the best videocard i can install into my dual 1.42 G4. I ask this becasue the Ati9800 256MB card say's its only for G5's. I don't understand why though. Am i forced to install the 128MB ATi card? Currently i have a 9000 64MB and it just doesnt cut the mustard like it used to.

Please give me some info or reccomend anything if you can.

The best card out there for your specs is probably the 9800 Pro 128MB. It's a good card even today. On one of my PCs, I use a 9800 Pro 128MB and it can run newer games fine. If you want a video card like the X800 or something, you'll have to go G5.

The 9800 is probably the top card you can buy for your Dual MDD, but if your Cinema Display is ADC, then you will have to get a DVI>ADC adapter to run it. The 9800 has DVI-I and VGA ports (also an S-Video port). There was one in the Classifieds for $150-very good price...

Other options, with Core Image support in Tiger, are the ATI 9600-again needs adapter for ADC screens(though the ADC can be made to work as a powered port with some hardware hacking) and the ATI 9700, which was only available BTO through Apple and is hard to find/expensive. It's the one I've been looking for-I have an Apple 17" ADC CRT, which doesn't work with the DVI>ADC adapters.
Slightly better cards than your 9000 are the 9000 w/128ram and the Nvidia GeForce4Ti(128mb, fast) but neither of these support Core Image-which would be the main reason/advantage for an upgrade. I want to run Motion
