Need Quark Help...

I am trying to open quark 5.0 files with Quark 6.5.
The machine is brand new G5. Dual 1.8, 2gb ram, 160gb HD, burner
The files are on a corporate network.
Using OS 10.3.8

Not sure what else to list.

When I try to open the files, they are all greyed out. I cannot use the 'open with' function. I have used file, append, and clicked on the file. Once the file is in the recently used list then I can option + click and open the file. The fonts are whacky but at least the file opens.

They have tons of files and I can't see this method as being practical in any manner.

Macspectrum suggested running permission repair before and after install sfw, which I did, ran onyx again to repair permissions. Still nothing. This machine needs to be in place and functional Monday am.

Help!

Bo

Make sure the extension .QXD os on the file, also your Open Dialogue window may have a pulldown window that says Enable: All Files (see attachment):

Thank you thank you thank you.

I KNEW it had to be something simple. Paralysis by analysis
